Dentures/Partials

Photos of Actual Patients

Dentures and partial dentures are used to replace missing teeth. Teeth serve an important role in the overall health of our bodies. Teeth not only help us chew, but they are critical to speech as they help the mouth to form words and sounds. People who are missing teeth often look older than they are because the lower face droops or sags without the teeth in place to support the lips and cheeks.

Dentures replace all of the upper or lower teeth. Unlike traditional false teeth, today’s dentures are very aesthetic and look and feel more like natural teeth. Most people won’t even realize you have dentures, allowing you to regain confidence in social situations and eat and speak normally. Partial dentures are indicated when there are several teeth missing, to fill a gap or space in the row of teeth.

Implant Supported Overdenture

The implant supported overdenture is a permanent prosthesis supported by as few as two to four dental implants. Patients can comfortably eat, drink and speak without concern of slippage. In some cases, it is possible to incorporate an existing denture into the new prosthesis.

An implant supported overdenture is a alternative to classical removable dentures. Though the implant supported prosthesis is a greater financial investment, the long term benefits out weight initial cost concerns.
